Sharing an experience of sexual and/or interpersonal violence can be difficult for many individuals. Mindful of this, Grand Valley Police Department has a soft interview room. This is a room in which a victim/survivor may file a police report in a space that is designed to be trauma informed and more comfortable than a traditional interview room. Officers are also able to take police reports in other locations where the victim/survivor may feel comfortable, such as the Victim Advocate’s office.
